A Parent Education Network (PEN) Workshop Online Tutorial: Just like attending the PEN workshop... only from the comfort of your own home! The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a set of federal regulations that guide how states provide education to children with disabilities. This online workshop gives an overview of the Act, including: The Six Principles of IDEA, The Special Education Process, The Contents of the Individualized Education Program/Plan (IEP), Special Factors, Critical IEP Team Members, Parental Participation, Writing IEP Goals & Objectives, Transition, Conflict Resolution, and Tips & Strategies.
