Summer Camp Camp CABAT Summer 2011 Summer Camp Program for Teens Week 8: August 8, 2011 -- August 12, 2011 Campers will participate in community based recreational activities with local student volunteers (high school and college) as peer mentors to model appropriate communication, conversation, and social skills. Staff to camper ratio is 1:2. Teaching techniques include direct instruction using ABA principles and procedures. Space limited. Objectives: One week of intensive social skills training program targeting skill areas including greetings, conversations, game play,turn taking, sharing, independent community skills, group instruction, and building friendships. All camps have a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $25. One Registration Fee per Camper per Summer. Cost: Weekly Rate: $150.00 + Registration Fee Daily Rate: $30.00 + Registration Fee Ages: 13-19 years Transportation/Travel: ** Teens are to be transported to daily outing sites by their families. Trips outside of Polk County may involve public transportation, and further information will be provided. ** Times & Locations: See schedule below for each camp day. Requirements: Teens must be able to care for their daily living needs such as toileting and feeding with minimal assistance, communicate wants and needs without engaging in severe disruptive behaviors, follow group instructions, and participate in group activities.
